Hay Making at Hawkshill Freedown
This year sees the second annual cutting and grass raking event at the meadow on Hawkshill Freedown, volunteers of all ages are welcome to come along and help out with piling up the grass for later use by the councillors and local volunteers. The haymaking begins on 24

Hawkshill Freedown is located behind Walmer Castle, there are several entrances into the Glen from both sides. The car park can be found at the junction of Gram's Road and Liverpool Road, members of Hawkshill Volunteers will be there to meet you at 10am onwards from the 24th through to the end of the cutting season.
