Hay Making at Hawkshill Freedown

Wednesday 24th November saw the beginning of the second annual haymaking at Hawkshill Freedown, over four days dozens of volunteers armed with rakes and determination, worked to collect up and pile recent cuttings on Hawkshill Meadow. Thanks to all of those that attended and our friends at Gazen Salts Nature Reserve for their efforts without which we would not have been able to complete the raking so quickly.

We hope to see you all and indeed anyone else who wants to come along next year.
