Walmer Town Council are commencing a feasibility study into installing an Outdoor Gym on Walmer seafront. As part of our research, we would like to hear from Walmer residents with their views on whether this would be a welcome initiative for the local community. We are currently looking at the benefits of installing modern calisthenics workout equipment, which is designed to provide a varied, full-body workout for all fitness levels. Calisthenics is a form of resistance training that uses own bodyweight movements to help improve strength and mobility, keeping our bodies healthy and strong. We are aware that for many, the cost of a gym membership may be prohibitive, and this will be a free resource on Walmer seafront for all to use. We aim to choose inclusive equipment to suit all adult ages and abilities. This survey is completely anonymous, and your responses will help inform our decision making for this proposed initiative. We would be grateful to receive completed surveys by Tuesday 30th April 2024. Read More...
